This is my sister, Angie, her husband Michael and their 4 (almost 5, when these pictures were taken) children: Mireya, Silas, Jude and Cade. They asked me if I could take pictures for their Christmas card last year, and I happily consented. Guys, this was my first real paid photo-shoot. I was a wee bit nervous--never having done it before {that's a good excuse, right?}, but my beautiful sister had some ideas from (whatdoyaknow) Pinterest, so the posing went really well, and I had a blast taking these pictures.
We went to an old potato barn that is near where my sister lives (and they live in the big city, so this was amazing, guys.), and I took close to 1,000 pictures. Oh, and afterwards we saw two or three "NO TRESPASSING" signs. Yeah. Afterwards. Also, that convenient little "love" down in the bottom pictures? It was already there. ;) I was thrilled to include it in some of my pictures. Hope you enjoy these!! Have a favorite? xo.

Lovely photos!!:)

ReplyDeleteWhoo! When you're doing it for the first time it is SUCH a blessing to have people who sorta already know how to pose!
ReplyDeleteI did the group picture for my Dad's side of the family at Christmas and yes, I was kinda nervous too. (I have to shoot inside! Wich means the dreaded flash! What if the colors come out funny?!) - Just a few of my concerns... =)My mom helped a lot with the "Okay, move a little over there, you two switch places..." and everyone was very happy not to go to the studio and wait for forever.
So it turned out okay. *whew*
These are sooo cute! I especialy like the one where your sister kissed her daughter. <3
The setting and light are just right. Good job!
